10 Days Left To Book On The BSCO Annual Conference

Booking for accommodation at this year’s annual conference closes in just ten days* and there are only a limited number of places now available.

The event will not only be a chance to learn and be inspired but is also a great opportunity to meet likeminded coaches, network, share knowledge and participate in a truly unique event. There is something for everyone and lots to take away from the event, no matter what your level or discipline.

Our international keynote speaker this year will be Teri McKeever from the University of California, Berkeley. Regarded as one of the best and most accomplished swimming mentors in the United States, Teri McKeever just completed her 25th season overseeing the Cal women’s swimming and diving programme. Teri will be joined by her British counterpart Mel Marshall who is currently enjoying success at the FINA World Championships with British Swimming and Adam Peaty.

Dr. Mike Peyrebrune will be hosting a lecture on “Swimming Warm-up and Warm-down for Training and Competition” and also a joint talk with Nathan Hilton on “The benefits of developing University links – The NOVA example”.

Coach to Ollie Hynd, Glenn Smith, will also be discussing the “Altitude Tent Project” they are currently undertaking in preparation for the World Championships in Mexico this October. Glenn will be discussing the planning behind such a project and the possible benefits and disadvantages.

Janko Gojkovic and Ben Negus will be discussing training protocols to ensure success with age group swimmers from qualifying window through to Summer Nationals. A representative of British Swimming will also be attending to highlight the National context around such work.

On Saturday evening we will be hosting our Annual Awards Dinner, which is already looking to be a remarkable celebration of British Coaching talent. Nomination forms to be released shortly.
