The Lacamas Headhunters hosted the LaCamas Classic/NW Zones masters Meet this weekend. The meet produced 10 World and 11 American records!

Ellen Reynolds (50) from the Sawtooth Masters in Idaho broke the women’s 50-54 World Record on the first night of competition in the 400IM (5:10.96) and followed that up with a new World Record on the 100 Free (1.01.41) on Saturday and 200IM (2.28.62) on Sunday.

David Radcliff (80) out of Oregon was also incredible. On the first night of competition he broke the current World Record in both the the 800 (11:43.02) and 1500 Free (21.59.53) in the same swim. His 1500 swim improved the previous record (80-84) by over 2 1/2 minutes. He followed that up with an outstanding 100 Free on Saturday setting another world record swim (1.11.26) and 200 Free (2.38.35). 4 World Records in the space of 48 hours!

Willard “Wink” Lamb (92),a Vanvouver, Wa resident, set the World Record in the 1500Free for 90-94 age group going 30.41.82, as well as the 800 Free(16.04.18) on the first night and then finished off the meet on Sunday afternoon blazing through the final 100 to break another World record in the 400 Free (7.44.83).

Dan Kirkland

Dan Kirkland (66), also from Washington set a National mark in the 800 Free going 10.19.31 the fastest American ever over that diatance in the 65-69 age group!

​The meet also produced 15 Oregon Masters State Records and 18 NW Zone Records. Amazing swims all around. ​
