Kennedy Goss – a Canadian native and freshman at IU – has an amazing season in terms of her 200 free. Goss started the season in October swimming nearly a 1:49 then dropped down to a 1:44.15 at B1G Championships. Goss shaved some more time off of that, though to swim a 1:43.37 and take fifth at NCAA Championships tonight.
For the 500 free, Goss swam a 4:37 at B1G Championships but didn’t have a great swim yesterday at NCAAs – swimming a 4:39 in prelims then 4:40 in finals.
Big Hits:
- Wisconsin 15th in the 200 medley relay
- Brooke Zeiger (Minnesota) took sixth in the 4-IM
- PSU junior Alyson Ackman placed second in the 200 free B final
- Kierra Smith (Minnesota) finished seventh in the 100 breast.
- Yu Zhou (Minnesota) wins the 3 meter diving
Team Standings:
- 11. Indiana
- 13. Minnesota
- 15. Wisconsin
- 17. Penn State
- 26. Purdue
- 32. Michigan
- 36. Ohio State

Kennedy Goss isn’t an Indiana native… She’s a Canadian! She’s never swam short course yards before, but her first season ever in a yards pool has been quite the success!
Only Worrell had a faster 50 fly split than Ivy Martin on that Medley relay. Look for Ivy to come back strong in the 100 free tomorrow.
