In the 200IM is it a correct breastroke pull out (4:38-4:42), what Phelps did? As far as I know breaststrokers are allowed to do one kick during/in combination with the pull (like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoYN482TquY or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ofDYZ8SICU) but not separately like he did.

Matt – Phelps’ pullout is legal based on a rule change from of December 2014. Swimmers can now use the dolphin kick at any time before the first breaststroke kick, even as its own kick with a pause before the rest of the pullout starts. Previously, swimmers had to separate their hands before using the dolphin kick, but the new rule got rid of that requirement.
