Why is Taylor ruck on the team if she placed 5th on the 200 free?

It was a smart decision to take Ruck. Oleksiak is going to be very busy swimming heats (and hopefully finals) so they need some depth in relays with Ruck.

Agree on Ruck. Also at her best, she would be on finals relays. That must have been part of it too.

On May only after Fina confirmation they will decide who will be on the men medley and men 4×200 relay? (The medley will qualify for sure)

Swimming Canada has provisionally nominated breaststroker Jason Block and butterflyer Mack Darragh to the team. So it’s unlikely they will add swimmers just for the 4×200 relay.

I still remember when I swam as fast as Santo in the 100 free… we are both the same age too, genetics at its best I guess haha.
