The NC State University Wolfpack will be hosting it’s first invite of the season, the NC State GAC Invitational, from Thursday, November 17th to Saturday, November 19th in the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Prelims each day will begin at 9:30 a.m., while finals take place at 5:30 p.m.

Among the teams participating in the invite is Tennessee, which sets up some sprint battles between the Voulnteers’ Kyle DeCoursey and NC State’s Ryan Held, who has been on fire so far this season. Both men have been sub-20 in the 50 free in their fall dual meets, and both men have split sub-19 on relays in dual meet competition.

On the women’s side, one of the big matchups will be between Tennessee’s Kira Toussaint and NC State’s Alexia Zevnik. Both swimmers are All-Americans in the backstroke events. Last season, Toussaint was the silver medalist in the 100 back at the 2016 SEC Championships and finished 8th in the 100 back at the NCAA Championships. Zevnik, on the other hand, was the silver medalist in the 100 back and 200 back at the 2016 ACC Championships, and finished 6th in the 100 back and 7th in the 200 back at 2016 NCAAs.
