Drury and West Florida improved their projected points totals with strong relay finishes, while Wayne State and Queens did better than expected in individual events.

Men’s Ups/Downs

The morning session on Day 1 produced several winners in the men’s contest, among which were Delta State, Florida Southern, Fresno Pacific, and Nova S’eastern whose relays all improved significantly from their seed positions. Despite its relay DQ, Queens made out better than expected, gaining extra finalists in both the 200 IM and 50 free. Simon Fraser also picked up points in the 200 IM.
