Day 2 stats/notes:

  • A number of swims really caught our entrants by surprise tonight:
    • 91 of 93 readers predicted second place in the women’s 100 fly would be faster than Dana Vollmer’s final time of 57.21
    • All 93 readers predicted third place in the women’s 100 fly would be faster than Kendyl Stewart’s 58.22
    • 89 of 93 readers predicted second place in the women’s 400 free would be slower than Leah Smith’s crazy-fast 4:00.65
    • 88 of 93 readers predicted third place in the women’s 400 free would be faster than Cierra Runge’s 4:07.04
  • Special shout out to RUN-DMC and Aquaticus Porter, who both nailed Katie Ledecky’s 400 free time down to the hundredth
