USA dominated the medal table on Day 1 of the 2018 Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Suva, Fiji. It was much the same distribution of medals as it had been four years ago at the 2014 Junior Pan Pacs, when USA led Day 1 with 7 golds, 3 silvers, and 5 bronzes for 15 medals total. Japan had 4 total, Canada 3, and Australia 2. This time China added its name to the mix, with a dominant victory in the men’s 1500.
