Saint Francis University delivered a 1-2 finish in a tight 200 IM. Sabrina Bowman got her hand on the wall first in 2:02.25, followed by Karilyn Quon in 2:02.60. Elin Svard was next in at 2:02.92, which means the top 3 all finished faster than it took to win the event last year (2:03.05). Bowman was just under half a second off the NEC record of 2:01.88, set in 2015.
Saint Francis University picked up back-to-back wins, with Katie Lafferty raking the 50 free in a very close finish. Lafferty got her hand on the wall 1st, touching in 23.20, followed very closely by Briana Vega (defending champion) at 23.23, and Jillian Rice at 23.27. Again, the top 3 were all faster than it took to win the event last year (23.29).
Bryant closed out the night with a record-setting 200 free relay win. The team of Alexa Rivera, Elin Svard, Kayleigh Canavan, and Jillian Rice combined to posted a 1:33.10, which was good to win by over nearly a second, and broke the Bryant team and NEC records.
