Would like to see some other Olympic big dogs pick it up. Teams picked you to produce and we pay to see pro action swimming. Not getting jackpotted and blaming it on tapering. Grow up man, you’re a pro now.

Really curious why the Condors picked up Khader Baqlah again this season. Surely there’s another 2/4 Free guy they could have gotten who would’ve scored more regularly?

Dressel gonna conquer the skin tomorrow. Why didn’t they remove freestyle for the men?

yep, but will be a while for the uploading, then can be watched up to 14 days from comp date (Match 3 Day 2 and Match 4 Day 1 not uploaded yet)

ISL subscription also has replays though, the full subscription seems to indicate no deadline to watch replays

Can someone explain the men’s veto choices to me? I guess the other teams are just battling for second and assuming Cali wins no matter what, because they left free and fly as the strokes, knowing Dressel is basically guaranteed to win either and by a lot.

on the stream LA joked they didn’t want breast as that would be bad for them, I would assume same for Aqua as they consider backstroke their weakest out of the 3 left. Not really any point trying to stop Cali if it will hinder your chances of points, perhaps LA removing breaststroke is also them thinking if Aqua get close come the skins they don’t have to worry about them outscoring them if it ended up breast so just want to consolidate second.

Well, that was a great match, with LA passing over Cali after the 400 m free, I thought they were untouchable but as the meet goes on the other team are starting to step up

Cali is also playing with line-up options and not having some swimmer’s swim their typical full line-ups this meet too.

Cali gonna get that world record by the end of this season

There’s honestly a pretty good shot at this. Even if you’re of the mindset that Energy Standard will win when it comes time for the Finals, Cali’s lineup is all from one nation (USA) whereas Energy will be multiple nations… therefore, Cali would have a shot and Energy wouldn’t.

Also, Cali already has the first three legs capable of going very significantly faster than the WR splits. The only x factor is Izotov’s free split which was 44.7 – Ress is unlikely to touch that even on top form, but the other three in top shape should make up for that by multiple seconds.

Energy already surpassed the World record last year but it doesn’t count as swimmers are from different countries.

Miss seeing some of the swimmers from previous years, such as Mel Margalis, I am guessing that maybe Cali is missing her as well?

I think the penalty points for missing the time standards and for No Shows should be much higher, ex -4 in an individual event and -8 for relay events.
