Day Four
Saturday’s prelims session will feature NCAA Division II Record-holder Karol Ostrowski of Drury in the 100 free. Drury’s Nathan Bighetti is top seed in the 200 back, but he’ll face a challenge from 100 back winner Giulio Brugnoni of Delta State and his teammate Emanuel Fava, as well as UIndy teammates Landon Driggers and Andras Tiszai. Lindenwood’s Gerald Brown, who tied for first place in the 100 breast with Joao Santos of Emmanuel, has the top seed time in the 200 breast.

Drury junior Dawid Nowodworski opened the men’s 100 free heats with a 44.77 win in heat 1.
Indy senior Victor Antonon took heat 2 from the outside lane, dropping 1.1 seconds from his seed time and stopping the clock in 43.97. Wayne State freshman Michael Wolsek touched second (44.74), 01 ahead of Florida Southern freshman Kyle Micallef (44.75).
Queens freshman Matej Dusa won the first circle-seeded heat with 43.17, taking .13 off his seed time. Drury’s Alex Bowen, who chased Dusa to the final wall, finished in 43.22, dropping .5 from his entry time. Lindenwood sophomore Patryk Winiatowski was third (43.55). Luka Cvetko of Wayne State was the fourth sub-44 of the heat (43.71).
McKendree junior Gregg Lichinsky, the second seed in this event, won heat 4 with 43.26. Indy sophomore Diego Mas cracked a 44.01 from lane 1 to finish second, just ahead of Emmanuel senior Igor Dantas (44.05).
NCAA Record-holder Karol Ostrowski of Drury took the final heat in 43.02 ahead of Viacheslav Ohnov from Wingate (43.46) and Raphael De Paiva from Carson-Newman (43.72).

Florida Southern went 1-2 in heat 1 of the 200 back as senior Matias Lopez dropped 2 seconds from his entry time to win in 1:45.89 and classmate Brandon Dyck touched second in 1:46.37.
Delta State senior Giulio Brugnoni, who won the 100 back on Friday, touched out Indy freshman Landon Driggers, 1:44.53 to 1:44.75, to win heat 2. Drury went 3-4 with junior Andrew Rodriguez (1:45.53) and senior Ahmed Wahby (1:46.59).
Indy sophomore Andras Tiszai took the penultimate heat with 1:45.10. St. Cloud State freshman Raf Hendriks (1:45.49) touched second. Denilson Cyprianos of Carson-Newman (1:46.53) edged Missouri-St. Louis sophomore Jon Osa (1:46.57) for third.
Delta State junior Emanuel Fava touched out Drury junior Nathan Bighetti, the top seed, in the final heat. Fava and Bighetti tied for third place in the 100 back final last night. This time, Fava went 1:45.32 to Bighetti’s 1:45.60. Third in the heat was Lindenwood freshman Wiktor Kedzia (1:46.06).

Emmanuel senior Joao Santos, who shared the national title in the 100 breast with Lindenwood senior Gerald Brown last night, won the first heat in 1:58.03. Santos took 2.6 seconds off his seed time with the swim. Queens junior Jan Delkeskamp, fourth in this event at 2019 NCAAs, touched out his teammate Balasz Berecz, 1:58.26 to 1:28.59, for second.
McKendree freshman Filipe Pinheiro improved his seed time by 3.2 seconds in winning heat 2 from an outside lane. Northern Michigan sophomore Roberto Camera bested his entry time by 1.1 seconds to finish second in 1:57.53 ahead of Missouri S&T junior Andy Huffman (1:58.44).
100 breast co-champion Brown of Lindenwood took the final heat in 1:56.68 to rise to the top of the leaderboard. Colorado Mesa junior Mahmoud Elgayar touched second in 1:59.17, just .04 ahead of Nova S’eastern junior Olle Williamsson (1:59.21).
