Yeas ago at Texas mid season invite, Simon Burnett didn’t make the A final in the morning of the 200 free and then broke the NCAA at night in the B final. Sometimes you just don’t have it in the morning.

I get it, but he needed to go under 46.7 to make A final which should have been a relatively low bar to clear for one of the best 1 flyers in the NCAA. I’m just surprised, and I’m sure he’ll still be a favorite (along with Minakov) at NCs
