Better results today but still an underwhelming meet this year.

France, GB and Italy which are probably three of the four leading European nations are not participating, so it makes sense that the meet is underwhelming in an Olympic year

New PB for Manaudou with 47.90, French Medley relay team will shine at home game.

Does that make Manaudou the second oldest swimmer to go sub-48, after Brent Hayden in 2021? In any case France now has a massive chance at the medley relay. Mixed medley relay has also been looking good since yesterday.

French is now a strong favorite for m4x100 bronze.

I still believe gold will be fought by USA and China.

Yep, as long as Morgan doesn’t let Murphy and Xu get too far ahead of him, the rest can do something.

Gold and silver seems set to be between USA and China. I can’t see France beating GB to bronze to be honest, unless Jimmy Guys fly form has fallen off a cliff which it appeared to in trials. On paper, GB have faster legs in 3 of the 4 strokes compared to France and in Peaty someone who can probably put a second or even a second and a half into France on the breast.
