Audrey Washburn of Arizona Christian dropped 1.3 seconds to win heat 1 in 4:48.86. Yana Trop of St Thomas took 3.8 seconds off her seed time to take heat 2 with 4:40.42.

St Thomas’s Alessia Claassen, who placed 3rd last year, took the next heat in 4:31.25 ahead of Keiser’s Lilly Windham (4:35.26) and Leyre Antonanzas Fernandez from St Ambrose (4:38.18).

Defending champion Rachel Bradley of Keiser won heat 4 in 4:30.84. She was followed by teammate Marine Lecomte (4:32.77) and Claudia Ashford of St Thomas (4:39.72).

Top-seeded Katherine Dyer of The Master’s, who broke the meet record in the 200 IM last night, took the final heat in 4:25.22. Five meters behind her were Emily Cooper of Loyola New Orleans, who was 10 seconds faster than she’d been in last year’s prelims with 4:30.97, and Kayla Parry from Olivet Nazarene, last year’s consolation final winner (4:31.51).

Jeremi Aubin of Midland improved his seed time by .3 to win heat 1 in 4:08.76. Adam Conrad of St Thomas, the 2024 runner-up, won his heat in 3:56.38. Coming in behind him were Marcelo Rojas Ariza from Cumberlands (3:58.28) and Elliot Best, also from St Thomas (4:01.95).

William Carey’s Mate Miszlai clocked a 3:58.02 to win heat 3 ahead of Keiser’s Alex Menzel (4:00.16) and Union’s Abel Eszenyi (4:01.08). Miszlai won the 200 IM national crown last night in William Carey’s inaugural year as a member of the NAIA. He came into this event with a seed time of 3:51.65.

The final heat went to SCAD’s Kevin Keil, the runner-up to Miszlai in last night’s 200 IM final. Keil was 3.7 seconds off his seed time with 3:51.71. In his wake were Xavier Trovesi of West Virginia Tech (4:01.47), Sergio Ybarra from Lindsey Wilson (4:02.84), and Charley Sears from The Master’s (4:04.66).

Women’s 100 Yard Butterfly – Prelims

Keiser swept the top three qualifying spots for the women’s 100 fly final with 2024 runner-up Ines Laurent (54.78), Luiza Bersi (55.38), and Zselyke Papp (56.25).

Irene Artabe Abasalo of St Ambrose dropped .7 from her entry time to win heat 1 in 58.14, beating Bethel’s Avery Woods (58.52), who improved her time by .4.

Sarah Zoellner from Cumberlands won heat 2 in 56.38. Aspen Shipp from Thomas University (56.91) and Filippa Malmstrom (58.08), Zoellner’s teammate, were second and third.

Heat 3 went to Bersi, followed by Bethel’s Eliza Nuet (56.61, an improvement of .6) and Keiser’s Danai Sofoulis (58.10).

Laurent took the last heat ahead of Papp and SCAD’s Ro Monge Serrano, who dropped .5 to clock in at 57.04.

Thomas University’s Ethan Kilgore improved his seed time by .47 to win heat 1 in 50.35, followed closely by Titus Smith of Aquinas (50.57, PB by 1.25) and Chase Salling of St Thomas (57.97, PB by .2).

Bo Kasten of SCAD Savannah, who placed 15th in this event last year, went 48.22 to take heat 2. In 2024, he went 49.80 in prelims. Kasten beat out Milligan teammates Joash Mckonie (48.64), who improved his seed time by .67, and Sergio Tudor (48.77), who dropped .97 from his entry time.

Enzo Constable from Union Commonwealth won heat 3 in 48.37. Just behind him, and coming to the wall together, were Milligan’s Michael Rinaldi (49.21)? Keiser’s Austin Bryson (49.26), and SCAD’s Jake Litchfield (49.30).

Keiser freshman Isaiah Aleksenko broke the pool record and nearly downed a 10-year-old meet record with his 46.27 in heat 4. His teammates Angel Margaritov (48.95) and Nicklas Pedersen (49.06) were second and third in the heat.

Lindsey Wilson junior Kirsten de Goede destroyed a 14-year-old meet record, set by Alex Peters when Concordia Irvine (now NCAA Division II) was in the NAIA. De Goede took more than 2 seconds off the old mark, winning her heat with 1:47.34.

Josefina Berraud Galea of St Thomas kicked things off in heat 1 with a winning 1:57.47, marking a 2-second improvement from her seed time. Sophie Urias of St Thomas sent 1.75 seconds faster than her entry time to win heat 2 with 1:55.95. Keiser’s Giulia Mantuan was second (1:57.27).

Aubrey Bach of Keiser, who placed 3rd in 2024, took the first circle-seeded heat in 1:53.37 ahead of St Thomas’s Martine Abrahamsen (1:54.35) and Bethel’s Dominique van Vuure (1:55.95). Lise Puissant of Union dropped half a second to finish fourth in 1:56.13.

Bethel’s Jaylyn Harrison, 7th in last year’s final, won heat 4 in 1:52.81, improving her entry time by .7. She edged defending champion Kylee Sears of The Master’s (1:52.89) and Bea Moron Alonso of St Thomas (1:55.64).

De Goede took the final heat by about 1/2 a pool length with Ugne Takuseviciute of Cumberlands (1:54.09, PB by 1), Haley Vanbuskirk from St Thomas (1:54.19), and Union’s Manca Petric (1:55.55) in her wake.

Men’s 200 Yard Freestyle – Prelims

Keiser’s Hanno Boeckmann, who placed 7th in 2024, went 1:39.86 to win heat 2 ahead of Arizona Christian’s Jackson Lee (1:42.37, PB by .7).

Heat 3, the first of the circle seeds, featured a tight race between Zoltan Tompos from SCAD and Jonas Friess of St Ambrose. The lead changed a couple of times but Tompos pulled ahead on the last 50 and got the win with 1:38.89. Meanwhile, William Carey’s Janos Szabo came from behind on the last 50 and got his hand to the wall .04 ahead of Friess, dropping 1.1 seconds to clock in at 1:39.32.

William Birkett of St Thomas won heat 4 in 1:38.20, just .03 ahead of Carlos Trinidad Sancho of Keiser. Timothy Braun from Olivet Nazarene was third with 1:39.12, taking 1.6 seconds off his seed time.

Keiser’s Jake Hutchinson and SCAD’s Jan Gastal traded stroke for stroke for much of the final heat, with Hutchinson getting the touch, 1:37.72 to 1:38.19. Dylan Crane from The Master’s came from behind to challenge the leaders and nearly caught them on the last 25; he finished with 1:38.46, improving his seed time by .6.

The 100 breast has become one of the NAIA’s most exciting events, and this year’s prelims brought home the point with a bang. Keiser’s Nikoline Biltoft-Jensen, who won in 2023 with a meet record of 1:02.01, but was then knocked off her pedestal in 2024 when Stella Warborn of St Thomas won in 1:01.41, took back control of the record book this morning with a prelims swim of 1:01.18 that broke the NAIA meet record by .23.

SCAD’s Nikki Hahn opened the circle-seeded heats with 1:02.30, dropping .38 from her seed time. Hahn was 1:04.69 in prelims last year, then placed 3rd in the final with 1:02.85. A body length ahead at the 50, Hahn finished 2.1 seconds ahead of Keiser’s Ella DiScala (1:04.40) and Moa Nyblom from Cumberlands (1:05.10).

Defending champion Warborn took heat 3 in 1:02.11. She was followed by Brenau’s Tessa IP Hen Cheung (1:04.55) and Lindsey Wilson’s Sara Motyl (1:05.26).

Biltoft-Jensen won the last heat by more than 3 seconds ahead of her teammate Kate Vorontsova (1:04.27) and Megan Schoenlein from Cumberlands (1:04.55).

Isaiah Porritt from Arizona Christian dropped .6 to win heat 1 in 56.57. Milligan’s Caleb Fry improved his seed time by .8 to win the first circle-seeded heat in 54.50 ahead of Leon Irmer of Cumberlands (55.09) and Emil Schildhauer from Thomas (55.48).

Cory Werrett of St Ambrose was the victor in heat 3, stopping the clock at 55.64. Just behind him in quick succession were Life’s Bence Meresz (55.72) and SCAD’s Naz Sementsov (55.86).

Defending champion and meet record-holder, Noel de Geus of Keiser, blew away the field in the last heat with 52.09. Teammate Alex Kusik (55.06) and William Carey’s Hunter Boudreau (55.30) were second and third.

Women’s 100 Yard Backstroke – Prelims

William Carey’s Eva Mangiaracina dropped .3 to win heat 1 in 59.95, her first sub-minute. Molly Burton from SCAD Savannah took .96 off her entry time and roared to the front of heat 2 with 58.69, ahead of Milligan’s Samantha van Vuure (59.23, PB by .2) and Olivet Nazarene’s Katelyn Inman (59.33, PB by .2).

Lindsey Wilson’s Natalia Gorska went .3 better than her seed time to win heat 3 in 56.80, beating Keiser’s Marine Lecomte (57.19) and Mya Nemechek from Midland (58.29).

In heat 4, Aspen Shipp from Thomas University (57.14) edged Keiser’s Lorie Seranski (57.26) and Irene Artabe Abasalo from St Ambrose (57.33).

Defending champion Maaike Broersma won the last heat by two body lengths with 54.57. Paige Howell from Olivet Nazarene went 57.09 to touch second; she was 58.65 in prelims a year ago, then tied for 12th place in finals with 58.68. Third place went to Ave Maria’s Gabby Darakchieva (57.73).

Men’s 100 Yard Backstroke – Prelims

Martin Sener from Midland University dropped 1.3 seconds in heat 1 to win with 49.97 ahead of Titus Smith from Aquinas (50.82, PB by .4).

2024 runner-up Matt Mizell from St Thomas took care of business in the first circle-seeded heat, dropping 1.5 seconds to win with 48.29. Keiser’s Nicklas Pederson went 48.56 for second, while defending champion Alex Marrero, also of St Thomas, came in third with 49.06.

Keiser’s Matheus Queiroz won heat 3 with 48.65. Ruthiik Satti from Cumberlands touched second in 48.73, just ahead of Kervens Warnon from St Thomas (49.08).

Isaiah Aleksenko from Keiser tied the meet record of 46.28, set by Daniel Ramirez of Oklahoma Baptist in 2014, to win the last heat. That puts him in lane 4 in both the 100 fly and 100 back tonight, with a chance to down TWO of Ramirez’s meet marks. Teammate Jet Fuhrmann came in second with 49.40, while Milligan’s Joash Mckonie came in third (49.48).

Men’s 1-Meter Diving – Prelims
