2025 TYR Pro Swim Series — Westmont

Day 3 Prelims Heat Sheets

While many of the scratches carry over from yesterday, including large contingents from Georgia Tech, Fmc Aquatic and Patriot Aquatic, there have been some big names that have dropped events in the second prelims session of the Westmont Pro Swim Series.

Foremost among them is Carson Foster. Swimming under the registration of his club team, Mason Manta Rays, Foster has dropped the 200 free where he was the #2 seed, with an entry time of 1:45.64. Dropping the 200 free is not unusual for the Texas Longhorn as he did so at the 2024 US Olympic Trials. Foster does have the 400 IM at the end of this morning’s session, where he is the top seed.

Also scratching today is Luke Whitlock. After taking 3rd in the 1500 on Wednesday and No Showing the 400 free yesterday, Whitlock has scratched out of the 200 free (#18) and the 400 IM (#6). Sources tell SwimSwam that Whitlock has fallen ill and has left the meet.

While this article is usually confined to just scratches in going through the entries, it seems that Erika Connolly has added the 50 butterfly to her schedule despite not being on the psych sheet for the event. Connolly appears in the heat sheet in heat 2, lane 5 (outside of the circle seeded heats), with an entry time of 1:02.69. Connolly has a best time (in the 100) of 58.79 dating back to 2020 but has not apparently swum the event since 2021, where she was 59.32 at the US Olympic Trials.
