Clubs still have time to submit entries for one of America’s premier swim meets, the 24th Annual Oklahoma Elite Pro-Am hosted by American Energy Swim Club.  The meet is scheduled from December 17-20th and clubs have until midnight tomorrow, December 2nd, to submit entries to the exciting event.

Top professional and amateur swimmers are set to descend upon the state-of-the-art Edmond Public Schools Aquatic Center, just outside of Oklahoma City, to compete for cash prizes. This is the second year that the contemporary Edmond Public Schools Aquatic Center has hosted the Pro-Am event. The facility, which was constructed as a result of the creative partnership with the YMCA, Edmond school District and City of Edmond, sports an 8-lane competitive pool, an 8-lane warm-up pool and also provides 2 extra warm-up lanes in between the bulkhead.

This year’s edition is shaping up to be just as thrilling as previous years, with several prime time stars, such as Breeja Larson, Michael Andrew and Josh Schneider scheduled to share the pool deck with aspiring amateur swimmers in the name of fast racing and fun times. As past participants can attest, the meet presents an incredible opportunity for young athletes to see top-tier swimming talent up close.

On his experience from last year, 18-year old swimmer Grant Denison says”The Elite Pro-Am Meet is very unique. It’s so inspiring to watch the Pros swim and hear about their lives.  It’s also a really fun meet for team bonding.”

Past teams in attendance include SwimMAC, Charger Aquatics and Jonesboro Swim Team. Coaches who have brought teams to previous editions of the Pro-Am praise the meet’s pro/amateur dynamic and overall experience. Coach Monty Hopkins of the Razorback Aquatic Club says his AquaHawgs, loved the meet. Says Hopkins, “Top pros were accessible to the swimmer and fans. It was a well-run meet with exciting finals.”

Head Swimming and Diving Coach Alyson Hannan from Wayland Baptist University says her team keeps coming back to the competition because her “swimmers were able to swim next to the best swimmers in the world. It inspired them to become better.”

Clubs have until midnight tomorrow, December 2nd, to register and join the action in Oklahoma December 17-20th.

My son would like to swim in this meet. He is only 7 but he is getting faster! Could someone post a link as to where I should sign him up?
