Today the German Swimming Federation (DSV) published the team that will represent Germany at the European Short Course Championships which will take place in Israel: 13 women and 14 men are going to Netanya a from 2 to 6 December. Germany’s head coach Henning Lambertz said about the team: “We send a varied team to Netanya. It’s nice that in addition to the established athletes, many young, fresh faces made it into the team. ” Alongside established swimmers like Franziska Hentke, Jenny Mensing, Marco Koch and Paul Biedermann are also debutants like Alina Jungklaus, Nina Kost and Juliane Reinhold among the women`s team and Dominik Franke , Marius Kusch, Philipp Wolf, Henning Mühlleitner, Marek Ulrich and Andreas Wiesner on the men’s side.
In addition to the national coach, DSV-President Christa Thiel will attend the competition: “The presence there was planned a long time ago. We look forward to the European Championships. “

No, I don’t think so and I was at the GER SC Nationals last week and attended the press conferences: Some big names are not in the actual team for example Steffen Deibler – he focuses on the Olympics next year. And others like Dorothea Brandt or Hendrik Feldwehr won’t compete in Israel. The team swimswam published in the article has been announced after a team meeting on sunday and all athletes have been asked if they want to participate or not. A lot ouf youngsters are in this team now – that is great for them and I’am sure they will show their best perfomances.
