62 Swimmers Named to Men’s Academic All-District At-Large Teams

Sixty-one male swimmers across the NCAA’s Division I, II and II, as well as the NAIA, were named to 2020 Academic All-District At-Large Teams, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced Thursday.

The At-Large Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America honorees will be announced from June 16-19.

Twenty-eight women from Division I made the At-Large Team, as did 17 from Division II, 13 from Division III, and four from the NAIA.

At-Large Teams are selected from all sports except men’s soccer, women’s soccer, football, volleyball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, softball, baseball and men’s and women’s track and field/cross country, which have their own Academic All-District and All-America teams selected per sport.

Student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30 and be a starter or contributor (participating in at least 50 percent of team’s contests) to be considered for Academic All-District and All-American accolades. Student-athletes must have completed one calendar year at his/her institution and be at least at sophomore eligibility-wise.
