MARKB- no need for the obnoxious commentary, thank you very much. I said that as sort of a comparison to the Phelps 13-14 record.
Pretty good qualify of times for a meet like that, one week after the official US junior nationals.
PVK was right to mention 15-year-old Samuel Pomajevich.
His 200 fly PB was 2.07.15 before the meet!
He won in 2.00.23! ๐ฏ
Too bad he wasn’t 14. ๐
Impressive performance!
Good result for Emily Meilus in the 200 back in 2.13.
I was surprised to not see her last week against the best US juniors in Irvine.
I remark the NCAP swimmers improve their times a lot at this meet.

Sam Pomajevich is coming off his freshman year of high school!! And already at a 2:00.2 in the 2 fly! Would have been 2nd all time for 13-14’s if he wasn’t 15.
And it would have crushed the 11 – 12 NAG if he wasn’t 15 – not to mention just killing the 9 – 10 record.
I know. That was a fairly strange remark to have made
It’s one of the greatest comments ever on swimswam!
I believe I’m going to laugh all day ๐
I’m confused. Maybe I’m a bit late to the party, but how is this meet different than the one that happened in Irvine last week? Why would a team scholar to send its swimmers here rather than to that?
Slower QTs, A-D final heats, central location. It’s a much more viable team travel option for a lot of east coast teams.
