Offering over $60,000 in cash and prizes and featuring numerous Olympic swimmers, national team members and professional athletes.

In the past 22 years of its existence, the Oklahoma Elite Pro-Am has attracted some of the top swim clubs and athletes in the nation and the world. Olympians from the ’96 games through 2012 have loved coming to the Oklahoma Elite Pro-Am. Dara Torres, David Plummer, Anthony Ervin, Natalie Coughlin, Amanda Beard, Megan Jendrick, Ian Crocker, Aaron Piersol, Josh Davis, Jason Lezak, Klete Keller, Brendan Hansen, Mark Gangloff, Eric Shanteau and Garrett Webber-Gale are some past participants. In fact, The Oklahoma Elite Pro-Am has a history some of the top Junior and Senior National level swimmers in the county before they break out on the world stage. The success of the Oklahoma Elite Pro-Am depends on its ability to attract high ranking professional athletes, which in turn attracts coaches of up-and-coming swimmers. The incentive of prize money makes it an attractive meet for professional swimmers.

This year Oklahoma Elite Pro-Am has moved to the brand new, state of the art, facility in Edmond, Ok, the Edmond Public Schools Aquatic Center/Mitch Park YMCA. The pool was opened to the teams on January 29, 2014. The pool was used immediately for the Edmond City Championships on January 30, the 5A and 6A West regional meet on February 14-15, and the 5A and 6A State Championships on February 21-22.

The pool features two 25 yard courses with 16 lanes, plus two lanes in between the bulkheads. Depth is from 7’0” on the shallow end to 13’6” in the deep end. It is home to the three Edmond High School swim teams and multiple swim clubs. This new state of the art venue will be a great new feel for an already storied swimming event.

Moving the meet to the Edmond Public School Aquatic Center also present a great new opportunity for clubs to enjoy City of Edmond, a suburb north of Oklahoma City. The City of Edmond is invested in the event, awarding American Energy Swim Club a grant to help host the meet. Within minutes of the venue are many different lodging options and a vast array of restaurants and eateries.

Each year the meet features a bonus 50 event, this year the 50 breast stroke is the featured bonus event. To enter the 50 breast stroke swimmers must be entered in the 100 or 200 breast strokes. The traditional 50 freestyle shoot out is still the featured event of the meet. This year we have upped the prize money from previous years of $1600 to $5000 going to the event winner, promising to make this year’s 50 freestyle shoot out one for the ages.

American Energy Swim Club would like to formally invite your club to attend the 23rd Annual Oklahoma Elite Pro-Am. We have included the meet book with full details on entries and important entry deadlines.
