The University of Florida announced its 2015 inductees into the school’s athletic Hall of Fame, and among them is late-80’s swimming star Stephanie Zunich Donley.
Donley, who competed as Stephanie Zunich for the Gators, was a 20-time All-American and won 7 NCAA titles in her collegiate career. Swimming from 1988 to 1991, Zunich took home NCAA gold in 5 relays and 2 individuals, topping the 100 breaststroke in 1989 and 1990. She swam alongside multiple illustrious Gators, most notably future Olympian Dara Torres. Zunich and Torres combined to win four NCAA medley relay titles during the 1988 and 1989 seasons.
She is one of seven to be inducted in the Gators’ latest Hall of Fame class. The class will be officially inducted next April at a special banquet.
