Mizzou Gets Verbal Commitment from All-American Kylie Dahlgren of Minnesota

Aquajets Swim Team’s Kylie Dahlgren has made a verbal commitment to the University of Missouri for the fall of 2015.

Dahlgren is an All-American from Chanhassen High School who was a member of both their state-record-setting relays at the 2013 Minnesota high school girls class AA (big schools) championships. She anchored the medley relay, combining with Zoe Avestruz, Bridgette Grobe, and Kaia Grobe, and swam the third leg of the 400 free relay with Kaia Grobe, Shelby Holmes and anchor Zoe Avestruz. (We wrote about it here.) Individually, she was fourth in the 200 IM and seventh in the 500 free at the state meet. Dahlgren has been named All-State three years in a row.

Dahlgren’s best events are:

200y IM: 2:03.50
400y IM: 4:24.72
200y back: 2:01.40
100y back: 56.65

Dahlgren has a couple of seconds to drop before she’s a point-scorer for Mizzou at SECs but the 6’-tall future Tiger has dropped five seconds in the 200 back, 2.8 in the 100 back, and 3.5 in the 200 IM over the last two year. If she continues along this trajectory she will be a formidable force for Mizzou.
