Colombia Releases Roster for the 2014 South American Championships

The Colombian Swimming Federation announced their 11 athlete roster for the 2014 South American Championships which will be held this weekend in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Colombia finished second in the medal standings to Brazil at the 2012 South American Swimming Championships picking 15 medals in total (five gold, two silver and eight bronze).

The team will be void of some significant talent such as 2014 South American Games medalists; David Echeverri, Andres Montoya Torres, Jessica Camposano Rios and Carolina Colorado Henao.

National record holders Isabella Arcila (SMU) and Manuela Ferreira (Wayne State) will also be absent.

Because of this fact the Colombian team will have a hard time repeating the success they enjoyed in 2012.
