Darby Wayner, a senior at Savannah Arts Academy, has made a verbal commitment to the University of Utah for 2015-16.

Wayner will be a versatile addition to the Utes’ roster. The 2014 Savannah Morning News swimmer of the year, Wayner has finaled at the Georgia High School 1-5A State Swimming & Diving Meet six times in the last three years. In 2012 she was second in the 200 IM and fifth in the 100 free; in 2013 she took second in the 200y IM and third in the 100 free; and in 2014 she was third in the 100 free and third in the 100 breast.
Wayner swims for Bill Forrester at Georgia Coastal Aquatic Team, where she has achieved Winter Juniors time standards or better in 50 free, 100 breast, and 200 IM. Her top times over the last two years are:

200y IM: 2:04.87
50y free: 23.65
100y free: 51.30
100y fly: 56.21
Wayner is a member of USA Swimming’s Scholastic All-America Team.
