Versatile Zach Bishop from New Hampshire Verbally Commits to Towson

Zach Bishop of Exeter Swim Team has made a verbal commitment to the Towson Tigers for the 2015-16 season. Bishop is a senior at Exeter High School, the defending New Hampshire High School Division 1 state champions.

At the 2014 New Hampshire Division 1 state meet, Bishop took second in both the 200 and 500 free, and was a member of both Exeter’s record-setting relay teams.

Bishop holds multiple records on Exeter Swim Team, and in a wide range of events. He had a particularly successful long course season, dropping over four seconds in the 200 back and two in the 200 fly. He also dropped 3.5 seconds in the SCY 200 fly this year. His best times include:

200y fly: 1:54.16 200m fly: 2:09.23
100y fly: 53.44 100m fly: 58.43
200y back: 1:55.10 200m back: 2:10.75
200y IM: 1:59.06 200m IM: 2:14.24
400y IM: 4:09.55 400m IM: 4:49.37
200y free: 1:43.59 200m free: 2:00.14
500y free:4:50.33 400m free: 4:12.28

Bishop is close to scoring position at CAAs in several events already. He is versatile enough that he could conceivably concentrate on any number of events. It will be interesting to see where the Tigers need him most.

Bishop will join fellow Towson commits Jack Saunderson and Jensen Morris in the class of 2019.
