Eastern Michigan University’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will host the University of Cincinnati in a Saturday matinee dual, Nov. 15, inside the confines of Jones Natatorium.
Both the men and the women have not had many meetings with the Bearcats in the history of the two programs. The men have met up with Cincinnati just five times and hold a 4-1 all-time record, with the only loss coming in the inaugural meeting in the 1967-68 season when Cincinnati recorded a 68-45 victory. When the Eagles last tangled with the Bearcats, they recorded a 218-81 victory, Jan. 14, 2012 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The women’s swimming and diving squad has had a likewise brief affair with Cincinnati’s program, squaring off three times and holding a slight 2-1 advantage in the all-time series. In the same meet as the men on Jan. 14, 2012, the women also recorded a win over the Bearcats, taking a 159-139 decision.
The Green and White will look to repeat the success of its previous meeting with Cincinnati, and will start the meet off at 1 p.m. Live results will be provided through EMUEagles.com.
