Watch above as swimming legend Natalie Coughlin breaks the American Record in the 100 SCM IM at the Mussi-Lombardi-Femiano meet in Italy on Saturday.
Coughlin swam a 58.55 to improve Ariana Kukors’ 2010 record of 58.65 in the event.

Excellent, and so happy to see Natalie using her tremendous versatility again!
She beat Ilaria Bianchi on the fly leg.. no small feat.
The World Cup wasn’t really a big thing from 2004-2010 (at least, not as much $$$ prizes). But Natalie would have totally CRUSHED them. If she trained and tapered scm in 2009, I think she could have several WRs.
