NCAA Division I meets to watch for 2/5-2/8

The number of meets might be down as teams begin tapering for their conference championships, but there are still several meets to keep an eye on.

Arizona and Arizona State will clash in an instate, rivalry matchup on Saturday. Arizona is coming off a tri-dual meet with the Texas Longhorns and SMU Mustangs. Arizona State will come in after a loss to Stanford on January 24th.

It will be another busy weekend in southern California as the USC men will take on Cal on Friday and Stanford on Saturday. Both the Cal and Stanford women topped USC over the weekend, leaving it up to the men’s half of their teams to beat the Trojans.

Michigan and Michigan and Michigan State will meet for a dual meet as well. Other instate matchups over the weekend include TCU traveling to Austin to take on Texas, SMU heading to North Texas, and BYU taking on Utah.

Below, we’ve listed all the NCAA Division I meets we could find. There’s a lot of teams, so we’re sure we’ve missed a few. Leave them in the comments and we’ll add them to our list.

Ian: Your schedule listed here is correct about USC meeting Cal and Stanford here in the BAY AREA this week, but your text says meets are in “Southern California”. As maybe all your readers know, Cal and Stanford are in NORTHERN California (San Francisco Bay Area). No Biggie, however, were the meets at USC there would be no rainy weather.

But our Bay Area may get our first rains in 40 days (last was on Christmas eve) this Thursday through Saturday. We will see. Everyone here wants rain. Of course, all our pools are outdoor swimming venues so I’ll just bring my umbrella if it really does rain—we have been fooled before!

Should be some exciting duals. And they… Read more »
