SwimMAC Carolina’s Hope Dragelin Signs with Boston College

Hope Dragelin of SwimMAC Carolina has signed on to swim for Boston College for the 2015-16 season.  The current Charlotte Latin senior, who also runs cross-country, will join SwimMAC alum and Boston College sophomore Alison McDonough on the Eagles roster.

Dragelin is the defending Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA) champion in the 100y butterfly and the 500y freestyle events and finished in the top three at last year’s state meet in both races.  Her best times across several events in yards are:

  • 50 free – 24.98
  • 100 free – 53.61
  • 200 free – 1:58.41
  • 500 free – 5:16.46
  • 200 back – 2:06.20
  • 100 fly – 57.98

With twelve seniors set to graduate off the Boston College swimming and diving roster, including Eagle freestylers Emily Downs and Kelly McGrath, Dragelin should be a valued asset to the ACC school in the coming year.
