Hannah Plourde
Hannah Plourde, daughter of Julia and Peter Plourde was born on April 17th, 1995 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Ironically, as a child Hannah was terribly afraid of the water. However, when the local boys and girls club taped a flyer to her door, she begged her mother to let her join the team. Years later, Hannah moved to the Westfield YMCA Wave Swim Team where she swam and competed until she finished her high school career. After graduating from high school, Hannah moved to Boston, Massachusetts to attend Simmons College where she currently swims under coach Mindy Williams. In her two years as a Simmons shark, Hannah has made many great accomplishments. She specializes in Individual Medley, (her favorite being the 400 IM) and Breaststroke events.
Club
Throughout her childhood and high school career, Hannah was a member of the Westfield YMCA Wave Swim Team. She achieved a great deal as a Wave member, as she not only competed on their National Team, but she also qualified for New England Age Groups, Seniors, and competed in many other USA Swimming meets.
