DC Comics superhero Aquaman may be hitting the silver screen in the Zack Snyder helmed Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice reports E! Online.
Director Zack Snyder tweeted this photo of actor Jason Momoa in costume, and this ain’t your dad’s Aquaman from the Super Friends cartoon on TV. He’s more mythic, a true god of the sea.
Armor and scaled tats with the trident add dramatic weight to this 2016 version. While Momoa has not been officially added to the film’s cast, E! reports industry insiders believe Momoa will have a presence in the film, set for a March 2016 release. Moreover, Aquaman should appear in Justice League Part One, November 2017, and may star in an Aquaman feature set for a July, 2018 release.
Just thinking out loud, but it’d be great to have an Olympic swimming tie-in with the Aquaman marketing. Why not?
Dude married the ex-Mrs Kravitz aka Denise Huxtable aka Epiphany Proudfoot who had that gnarly scene where she actually sleeps with walking clown painting Mickey Rourke.
Annnd then he played Conan and now Aquaman. I would’ve much preferred him to Vince in Entourage.
Put that dude in lane 4 and we’ll call it a night.
