Vince Galea
Vince is in his senior year as an Aquamule. He was elected team captain this season and has provided excellent leadership to the team. He is a sprint freestyler and is one the highest scorers in Colby College history. He currently holds the school record in the 50, 100, and 200 free and is a member of three record holding relays.

2011-2012
Vince made a quick impact on the program, stepping in as one of the top sprinters as a freshman. He made significant drops throughout his first year and ended the season at NESCAC championships with finals appearances in all three of his individual events.
2012-2013
As a sophomore, Vince continued his climb to the top of the NESCAC ranks. He became the Aquamules’ top sprint freestyler and was a top scorer in the dual meet season. At NESCAC Championships, he made the podium with top-8 finishes in the 50, 100, and 200 free while playing a vital role on Colby relays.
2013-2014
Vince again lead the Mules in the sprint events as Junior. He was the team’s top scorer and went on to finish the season with a 4th place finish in 100 free at NESCAC Championships.
2014-2015
In his final season on Mayflower Hill, Vince had a historic run. He was undefeated in the 100 free during the dual meet schedule. At NESCAC Championships, he finished 5th, 3rd, and 2nd in the 50, 100, and 200 free respectively. In the 50 free, he took the school record with a 20.57, made a NCAA ‘B’ Cut and became the fastest man of the meet off a flat start. In the 100 free, he came in at 45.40, took the record, and made another NCAA ‘B’ Cut. He was the lead-off and key member on 200 and 400 free relays that broke school records and finished on the podium. As the deserved culmination to a great season and notable career, Vince was honored as a member of the NESCAC All-Conference Team.
Personal
With his imposing and muscular stature, most people are surprised to learn that Vince has an adorable pet bunny named Nuzz. His first language was Italian and his fashion sense is decidedly European.
