Patrick Humphreys
Born Sept. 6, 1994 in Athens, Ga. Patrick Humphreys is a versatile swimmer at the University of Georgia. Humphreys primarily competes in butterfly, freestyle and the IM events. He’s in his sophomore year at Georgia and he’s majoring in Accounting. After graduating from Clarke Central High School and swam for the Athens Bulldogs Swim Club, Humphreys stayed in-state to compete as a Bulldog. He was ranked among the 2013 recruiting class’ top 50 recruits in the state of Georgia.
University of Georgia
2013-2014
As a freshman Humphreys did not compete at the 2014 SEC Championships, but instead he focused on the 2014 Speedo Champions Series in Charlotte and posted numerous best times.
2014-2015
Humphreys competed in Georgia’s dual meets during the 2014-2015 season, and he also focused mainly on the Georgia Invitational in November 2014. He swam best times in his main events – 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 100 butterfly, and 2oo butterfly.
National Competition
Humphreys served as team captain at his high school – Clark Central. He also was named Clark Central MVP all four years.
