Park Tae Hwan’s Doping Hearing Set for March 23rd

Reuters is reporting that the Park Tae Hwan‘s doping hearing will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland on March 23rd.

The original hearing was scheduled for February 27th, but Park’s representatives stated that they needed “more time prepare”. FINA agreed to grant Park more time to prepare, but has now notified the Korean Swimming Federation (KSF) that the date has been set.

Reuters received the updated information on the hearing date from an unnamed KSF official.

It appears as Park will have the full backing of the federation as it has been reported that four officials including the President of the KSF will be at the hearing.

The same official also told Reuters that Park has not returned to training.

Park failed a doping test which was administered by FINA in September of 2014.

He failed the test after receiving an injection at a chiropractic treatment.  The substance within the injection has been identified as Nebido, a commercial brand of testosterone undecanoate.

The doctor involved in giving Park the testosterone-infused injection, has been indicted on charges of professional negligence.

Sounds like they threw the doc under the bus to save the swimmer ! Even
If he exhonorated and allowed to complete I think that park is past his prime and won’t be a gold medal threat
