Joey Maginnis:
Joey was born and raised in Pennsylvania, where he started swimming with Penn Charter Aquatic Club. He continued swimming for his high school team at La Salle College where he was all-state all four years and was a part of the water polo team as well. He was also a member of the two time state record breaking 200 medley relay, along with being All American in the 100 back his senior year and a four time All American in the 100 fly. Joey has continued his swimming career training sprint back and fly at Duke.
Club:
Joey was a part of Penn Charter Aquatic Club where he swam under Crystal Keelan and was a Summer and Winter Junior Nationals qualifier.
College:
2013-2014:
During his freshman year at Duke, Joey was a part of the ACC Championship team where he competed in the 50 free, 100 back, and 100 fly; scoring for the Blue Devils in the 100 back.
Personal:
Joey is majoring in Economics and after college he aspires to work with other people in managing their money.
