Background
Daughter of Brandon Olson and Amy Netterlund. Began her swimming career at the West Fargo Swim Club.
High School
Placed seventh at the North Dakota state meet in the 200 and 500-yard freestyle in 2011. Was a member of all-state team for two seasons. Nominated as Senior Athlete of the Year in 2012.
College
2012-2013: Had a successful rookie season swimming for the Minnesota State University, Mankato mavericks. Swam mainly distance freestyle events, and posted season best times in the 500, 1000, and 1650 yard freestyle events at the NSIC championships. Achieved NSIC all academic team honors.
2013-2014: Finished her sophomore season strong as she posted collegiate best times in multiple events. Dropped 6 seconds in her 200 yard freestyle and 26 seconds in her 1650 freestyle events.
2014-2015: Was one of MSU’s top distance freestylers. Posted top 16 finishes at the New South Conference Championship meet in the 1000 and 1650 freestyle events.
