Seebohm improve on her lifetime best of 2:07.61 by almost a second. She is also now in striking distance of Belinda Hocking’s national record mark of 2:06.06.

With that win that makes it a sweep of the backstroke events for Seebohm. She also now occupies the top spot in the world rankings in all three backstroke events.

Hayley Baker collected the silver in a time of 2:08.21. Baker destroyed her best time of 2:10.86 by more than two seconds.

Wilson who led at the 100 meter mark dropped to third finishing in a time of 2:08.57.

Thoughts?
He appears to be faster in the 400 than Grant when they swim similar 1500’s. I don’t think Grant was swimming 3:44.6 when he was 14:48 in the 1500. But a reasonable goal for him is 14:40.

My guess is he’ll be in the low 40s… but he probably has his long term goal under 1430.
