This weekend SwimLabs, Encinitas, hosted a fundraiser for Rosebowl Aquatics head coach Jeff Julian with 5 time Olympic Gold Medalist Aaron Peirsol. The event was held in conjunction with the Art of Swimming photography show with our chief photographer Mike Lewis and acclaimed sport photographer Donald Miralle. Miralle and Lewis are donating a proceeds from their show to TeamJeff to support coach Jeff Julian in his battle against cancer and SwimLabs Encinitas was eager to help in supporting the Julian family.
Peirsol, who came down from his home in Newport Beach for the weekend’s show, generously donated his time to teach local swimmers in the state of the art SwimLab facilities. The afternoon’s event began with Peirsol’s unique ability to inspire swimmers to reach their personal potential. Here’s some images from the today’s event.
Hi Aaron, hoping this jogs your memory. My son James. Jenkins and you swam against each other when you you were both 10 years old. My older kids swam with Jeff Julian on the City of Industry Swim. Team. Now my granddaughter,Mary Ellen’s daughter, swims at Rose Bowl in Krisitine Quance Julian’s 11-12 gold group. The swimming world is very large and then again it seems small. I have watched you as an Olympian and was very proud of you. I would love to hear from you. Our family is praying for our dear friend Jeff, we are all supporters of TeamJeff.
I am so incredibly grateful for Aaron Peirsol and Mason and Christine Bailey for doing this very special fundraiser for Coach Jeff Julian and #TEAMjeff for his battle. Words cannot express our entire family’s gratitude for everything you have done! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I can’t say enough about what an incredible day Aaron gave those kids! A truly impressive guy who is a great role model. Thank you to Mike Lewis capturing these special moments.
Thanks to Mason and Christine Bailey for hosting the great event
Aaron Peirsol is a class act! Coach Julien will be in my prayers!
