In the 2nd finals’ session of the 2015 Summer Universiade (World University Games), China’s Lu Ying swam a 25.72 to break the first Meet Record of the swimming portion so far. That broke the old Aleksandra Gerasimenya record of 25.84 that was set at the last edition in 2013.
The 26-year old Lu took the individual silver medal in the 100 meter fly at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, and took the World Championships silver medal in this 50 fly at the 2013 World Championships. Her credentials made her a heavy favorite in the 50 fly (she’s now tied for 3rd in the world rankings), and will again make her a favorite in the 100 meter fly.
Lu was absent from the 2013 Universiade, but in 2011 was one of the stars with three gold medals (including a sprint fly sweep) and two bronze medals.
Lu Ying is an elder sister to all young guns. She is sexy and most beautiful. She is a beautiful woman not only a beautiful girl She is mother to the young boys and captain to the relays. Everyone wants marry her and many male guys and Chinese love her and proposed her marry him. I call her style classic and her look classy. She is not grand dame but beauty queen not just beauty girl. You love her or you do not. She is most loved by coaches and teammates. like Luo Xuejuan but faster by style, butterfly against breaststroke. look at her photos, model, modelling and so on …
Lu Ying is probably the most consistent female swimmer China has had since her emergence at the 2010 Asian Games. She has beautiful technique, and on a shallow note, she’s also really pretty.
She’s also been perhaps the most outspoken critic of the Chinese training system, noting that she flourished when she experienced a different training environment in Australia. Here’s a great article that explains her road to the top. You also get to see what she looks like when she’s dry.

She is very pretty yes . On a side note is she still single ? If China was smarter they would yank her from the pool & encourage her to have lots of babies . She still has just enough time for 13-14 .
Doesn’t Sjostrom not take any breaths?
Impressive: a one-breath 50 fly!
I think any woman that wants to compete with Sarah Sjostrom in this event (is there even competition at this point???) will be afforded only one breath – and even the one might be a race-ender.
Doesn’t Sjostrom not take any breaths?
That’s correct.
