Speedo Australia Signs Distance Ace Grant Hackett

With just days until departing with the Australian World Championships team headed for a pre-Worlds training camp in Doha, distance ace Grant Hackett, has just re-signed with swimwear brand Speedo Australia.

Olympic gold medalist and world champion Hackett had worn the Speedo brand much of his storied career , so it seems the partnership is coming full circle with the 35-year old’s career.  Hackett’s comeback ‘experiement’ is now fully blown into finding himself set to perform on the world’s biggest swimming stage of the year, the 2015 FINA World Championships.  After just 6 months back in the water coming out of his 7-year retirement, Hackett has been making some major strides in the pool.  He finished third in the men’s 200m freestyle at Australia’s National Championships, earning him a spot on the mens’ 4x200m free relay in Kazan, Russia.

On the partnership, Speedo Pacific Brand Manager Graham Eyres says, “We’re thrilled to have Grant re-join Team Speedo and renew our relationships with one of Australia’s true swimming legends. Speedo is about inspiring people to swim and this partnership is about connecting our brand with those that share our passion for water. We believe Grant is the perfect ambassador to recruit people back to the pool and we’re excited to see what he can achieve over the coming years”.
