About Crown Point Swim Club
BACKGROUND: The Crown Point Swim Club trains in a 25 yard / 25 meter stretch indoor pool at Crown Point High School and trains at select 50 meter facilities around NW Indiana during practices in the summer months. The club hosts 5-8 meets during a normal year and has been awarded the Indiana Swimming NW Divisional Championships several times. Crown Point, which is located in NW Indiana in Lake County, just south of Chicago, is one of the Midwest’s and NW Indiana’s “Best Places to Live” with Newsweek ranking Crown Point High School among “America’s Best” high schools in the nation that have proven to be the most effective in turning out college-ready graduates. CPSC has a reputation of success and development, both locally and nationally, being awarded both Bronze and, most recently, Silver Medal status through USA Swimming’s Club Excellence Program, as well as USA Swimming’s Club Recognition Level 3 status.
PHILOSOPHY: We stress being committed to excellence both athletically and academically. We take pride in our organization, our athletes, and their families. We teach sportsmanship both in and out of the pool at all times. We build character through life lessons that will take our swimmers past their athletic careers and into being outstanding leaders of the future.
