Young Brits Win 3 More Medals at World Juniors

Britain’s promising youngsters continue to shine at the FINA World Junior Championships in Singapore with three more medals on day two of the event.

Holly Hibbott swam a lifetime best in the final of the Women’s 800m Freestyle and dipped below the previous championship record to finish with the bronze. Luke Greenbank added to his impressive collection of international medals with a bronze in the Men’s 100m Backstroke and Katie Matts also won bronze when she raced in the Women’s 50m Breaststroke.

Britain also had representation in other finals on day two. Hibbott warmed up for her main, medal-winning event with seventh in the 200m Butterfly, Charlie Attwood finished fifth in the Men’s 100m Breaststroke and Martyn Walton was sixth in the Men’s 200m Individual Medley. Cameron Kurle placed sixth in the Men’s 200m Freestyle.
