China Holds Off Brazil on the Final Day of the World Military Games

The Chinese team led the medal standings since day one of the World Military Games in Mungyeong, South Korea with both the most gold and total medals. On the final day of competition the Brazilians gave them a run for their money.

The Brazilians came away with the largest number of total medals, but the Chinese were able to take gold in the final two individual events which kept them on top of the medal standings until the end.

Where’d you see the news for both Stravius and Agnel Bobo?

Off topic but I don’t think it has been reported on swimswam.
I’ve recently read that Jérémy Stravius has decided to focus only on freestyle for 2016.

He’s healthy and has started his training around mid-August.
Last time I’ve read something about him, he said he has rediscovered the joy in training but he also knew there was a long way to go until French nationals.

Fantastic choice for Jeremy. Lacourt is France’s best chance in backstroke and metella is best for butterfly. His chance in the 100 free is going to be touch since I predicted Mandadou to win at “trials” with 47.70, and metella second with a 48.01. He has a better individual chance in the 200 free. I would like to see Agnel back in the 400 free instead of the 100 free along with the 200 free. I don’t see Agnel swimming 1:43.15 again, but I can see him swimming 1:44.4. Mandadous goal is to win the 50 and 100 free, I can see him winning the 50, but he’ll die out on the second 50 of that hundred. I can keep… Read more »
