NAIA

Female Athlete of the Week – NAIA

SOKA – Cassidy Lavigne, (SO, Undecided) San Rafael, CA; 100 Fly 1:09 (best time in season), 100 Free 1:02.02 (best time in season) at Malibu Invitational last weekend at Pepperdine.

Male Athlete of the Week – NAIA

SOKA – Michael Nunn, (SO, Social and Behavioral Sciences), Calabasas, CA; 200 Free 1:46.53 (NAIA National ‘A’ cut), 17th place at Malibu Invitational and 100 Free 48.57 (NAIA National ‘B’ cut, .02 off ‘A’ cut), 11th place at Malibu Invitational at Pepperdine.

NCAA Divison I

Female Athlete of the Week – Division I Women

Pepperdine University – Jessica Mosbaugh, (SR., Psychology), Los Alamitos, CA. Jessica came in 1st in the 400 IM at the Malibu Invitational at Pepperdine, clocking a personal best time of 4:31.17, the 2nd fastest time in the history of Pepperdine Women’s Swimming. Saturday she took 2nd in the 200 breast with a strong early season time of 2:19.77 , 1st in the 100 fly with a :58.62 (her Season Best and .26 off her PR), and 1st in the 100 breast with a 1:04.51 (Season Best).

NCAA Division II

Female Athlete of the Week – Division II Women

Concordia University Irvine – Jessica Wilson (SO , Business Management ),Yorba Linda, CA: Malibu Invitational in Pepperdine against strong DI and DII competition, 3rd 1650 Free – 18:28.58, (8th fastest in DII in the nation); 7th in the 200 Breast – 2:28.54 (#12 in DII), 17th in the 100 Breast 17th 1:11.43 and 12th 50 Breast – 32.90.

Male Athlete of the Week – Division II Men

Concordia University Irvine – John Dowd, (SR. Business Administration), Mesa, AZ: Double winner in the Malibu Invitational Sprint Meet held at Pepperdine University – 50 Free 21.31 (7th in NCAA DII national times rankings) and 100 Free 46.13 (New Meet Record and 6th fastest time of the season in NCAA DII rankings).
