Jason Arthur of Jersey Flyers Aquatic Club and Teaneck High School in Teaneck, New Jersey, has given his verbal commitment to Drexel University for 2016-17. Arthur is the current New Jersey state high school champion in the 200y IM, setting a new state record of 1:49.16 in the process. His feat made Arthur the first Teaneck swimmer in 25 years to claim a state championship title. An All-American in the 200 IM and 100 backstroke, Arthur holds 9 of 11 swimming records at his high school.

As for his decision to commit to the Drexel Dragons, Arthur says, “I chose Drexel because of the co-op and the opportunities that come from it. It’s close to home, less than 2 hours away, so being away but close enough to home is a huge plus. The city like campus was so appealing and I loved the team. Ralph Cannarozzi, my former teammate and very close friend, goes there and I just can’t wait to be a Dragon!”
