Tualatin Hills Swim Club’s Ryan Falk has verbally committed to Washington State for next fall. Falk is a distance freestyler and adds strength in the IM.

I chose Washington State because I feel like it is the best fit for me to become a better swimmer and I will have the opportunity to race some of the best teams in the country. I felt like I bonded well with the team and I can’t wait train with a great group of girls!

Falk’s Top Times

  • 200 free – 1:51.46
  • 500 free – 4:54.37
  • 1000 free – 10:08.72
  • 1650 free – 17:28.10
  • 200 IM – 2:06.77
  • 400 IM – 4:32.67

Falk’s been steadily improving since her freshman year of high school, and continued to drop time in all of her events from 2014 to 2015 despite moving cross-country from Illinois to train/live in Oregon. She is now a senior at Jesuit High School in Portland.

At last year’s Pac-12 Champs, Falk would’ve made the 500 free C final and scored a couple points in the mile. She also would’ve been on the 800 free relay, which WSU will be looking to push higher than the 2nd to last finish they had this past season.

Ryan isn’t the first Falk to swim collegiately out west– her sister Taylor is a sophomore at Idaho this season. Ryan is the first reported Washington State commit for next fall.
