Blackline Aquatics’ Parker Lemke has elected to stay local and has committed to the University of Minnesota.

Lemke’s Top Times (SCY)

  • 50 back – 24.07
  • 100 back – 51.19
  • 200 back – 1:53.32
  • 100 free – 47.42
  • 200 free – 1:42.11
  • 100 fly –  51.93

Lemke’s strongest in the backstrokes, and he touched 2nd in the 100 back at last year’s MSHSL 2A Championships. Representing Eagan High School, located just outside of the Twin Cities, Lemke also touched 6th in the 200 free, led off Eagan’s runner-up medley relay, and swam the third leg of their 4th place free relay. Needless to say, he was a big-time contributor for Eagan, who won the meet with 226 points over Minnetonka’s 210.

Minnesota had a good group of sprint freestylers and butterfliers last season, and Lemke will likely end up focusing mostly on backstroke as a Gopher. He would’ve nearly cracked their top 5 in the 200 back with his best time now.

In addition to Lemke, the Gophers have picked up the following for their incoming class:
