Remainder of Europe’s Duel In The Pool Roster Revealed

With USA Swimming and British Swimming already having announced their respective rosters for the 2015 Duel in the Pool, the final piece of the puzzle is revealed in the form of the remaining members of the European All Stars roster.

In addition to the already announced big guns on their way to the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis on December 11th and 12th, such as 2015 World Champion James Guy, a number of potential in-the-pool monsters will take on the Americans on their home turf.

With no Katie Ledecky on the U.S. roster, Lotte Friis and Jazz Carlin will look to take charge of the distance events, while speedsters Jeanette Ottesen and Ranomi Kromowidjojo will challenge the U.S. sprinting contingent including Natalie Coughlin, Margo Geer and Kelsi Worrell.

A butterfly battle is brewing now that 200m fly world champion Laszlo Cseh will be joining the party, and Vladimir Morozov and Marco Orsi are ready to rumble with stars n’ stripes sprinters Nathan Adrian and Michael Chadwick.

Of course, with Hungary’s Katinka Hosszu on the roster, any number of events are at risk of being chewed up and spit out by the #IronLady.

The particular events per swimmer are yet to be announced. Swimmers can compete in a maximum of six events (individual and relays), and each team may enter up to four swimmers per individual event and one relay. A running score will be kept combining the points earned by both women and men to determine the winning team. The 2015 meet will be comprised of 15 events per gender (13 individual and two relays) with more than $120,000 in prize money on the line. The winning team will take home a portion of the winnings, while prize money will be awarded to the winner of each race. A bonus will also be awarded for any world-record swim at the event.

Who cares seriously about that meet?
It’s just for fun.
KL has something else to prepare. Something much more important.
I add that she must not have a very good memory of the last “Duel in the pool” 2 years ago when she swam ill and was beaten which is very rare.
All for Rio.

Adam Peaty is NOT doing the Duel in the Pool. It was announced a while ago that he is doing SC Euros in Israel.

Good catch. He wasn’t listed on roster, but I’ve since excluded him from the description.
