The Chinese news outelt Xinhua is reporting that 17 year old Qing Wenyi has passed away. The young swimmer was a national finalist and won two gold medals at the first ever Chinese Youth Championships in the 100 and 200 breaststroke.
Her lifetime bests in the breaststroke events were:
- 50 breaststroke – 32.08
- 100 breaststroke – 1:08.99
- 200 breaststroke – 2:30.39
The cause of death is not know at this time.
